Located on Mercer Street, La Mercerie is a bakery and café tucked inside of the Guild. The design direction was classic French with a contemporary New York twist, which was brought to life through a hand drawn script logo, spirited illustrations and crisp color palette.

Diners can not only buy pastries, but also purchase the plate it was served on. A separate menu was created to showcase all of tableware available for purchase.
The menu was featured in the New York Times.
A mercery is a place that sells fabric, ribbon and other sewing items. To carry the traditional meaning of the word into the branding, I created a Mercer and placed him in a world of stitched up pea pods and a salmon with a fin tassel. The Mercers are based off of the classic French waiter who is dashing from one section of a restaurant to another.
